Uphorik is the name of the new Linn phono stage, a very flexible and easily configurable

device that can be fully interfaced with any arm or cartridge (both MM and MC). Uphorik has been created on the basis of Linn’s phono stage Urika (an accessory to insert the phono stage directly into the Linn Sondek LP12 turntable). All the circuitry for MM cartridges is completely separate from that for MCs, for the benefit of the audio resolution, and you can set both the gain and the impedance of the head through separate switches, again to minimize noise and maximize performance. Finally, all the circuitry is dual mono and has internal shielding to minimize interference. Available inputs and outputs are unbalanced RCA and balanced XLR.

The product should be available from April 2010.
