There’s a new entry in Morel Audio’s “home” speaker line, although the Israeli manufacturer’s

latest star has a far from elegant name. “The fat lady”, which takes its name from the soft forms of the cabinet of the speaker system, is made of an alloy of carbon fiber and fiber glass. According to Morel, it’s precisely the cabinet that represents an interesting innovation, as it’s designed to resonate in perfect synergy with the speaker system. The reproduction of bass frequencies is assigned to a pair of nine-inch woofers made from a sandwich of carbon fiber and Rohacell, as is the loudspeaker for the midrange of the audio spectrum - a nice, six inch component. The soft-dome tweeters, a good one-inch in diameter, complete the speaker set.
